About: Growing up in the suburbs of Boston Fiona Coxe spent most of her childhood concocting “dishes” for her family. There were muffins with too much salt, yogurt enhanced with any number of things, chocolate mixed with anything, and dutifully, her family ate all of them and gave rave reviews. She knew then that food would always be her passion.
Now that she's older, she divides her free time between coming up with new and interesting meals, reforming old classics, constantly trying to improve the standbys, and exploring the restaurants of Boston — a city that is garnering much deserved national attention in the food scene.
Every month we see new restaurants open in a city that, while relishing the history that we’ve seen, is constantly looking towards the progressive, and the new. Exploring these restaurants is her passion.
Favorite foods: My love affair with Italian food is long standing from my family’s background. Some days there is nothing better than a piping hot plate of pasta with lots of mozzarella. But the reinvented classics and waistline-watchers are my current crush.
Worst Delivery Experience: I can’t say I’ve had terrible experiences with delivery, aside from the fact that my front door is rather hidden and it takes them forever to find it. Normally I have to just go out and greet them — which basically defeats the point of delivery.
