We were in for a special treat last week when Papadam, located on the Upper East Side, prepared a super special delivery for us. While the popular Indian restaurant does not normally deliver down to Bryant Park, we requested an out-of-bounds delivery for lunch at Seamless HQ. They sent over boat loads of lunch dishes — enough to fill ten hungry eaters’ stomachs.
I am not the biggest Indian food lover. I never crave it, and almost never order it. However, I knew I had to give this a try… So how was it?
Once the food arrived, it was all hands on deck to devour the tasty meal. Papadam generously sent over a wide array of dishes, including: appetizers, main entrees, and desserts!
One of the favorite appetizers was Hari Bari Tikki. This dish were grilled spinach and potato cakes with fresh green chilies, coriander leaves, and ginger. It may have looked a little funny, but it was super delicous and a little spicy.
I had some help from our Partner Relations team to eat this meal. We all felt that hte Chicken Tikka Masala was super tender, moist, and delicious. The Saag Paneer was easy to eat (i.e. not too spicy for me!) and delightful. We also truly enjoyed the Lamb Rogan Josh and Haryali Kebab. Each of these dishes had tons of flavor and were worth every single bite. Accompanying all the dishes was a trio of Naan — Plain, Stuffed with onion, and stuffed with garlic. So so good to sop up all of the sauces and dips.
Papadam also sent over an awesome and cooling Indian dessert, Mango Mousse. After such a filling meal, the light and airy dessert made with mango and ginger was pure perfection.
So if you’re like me, and don’t LOVE Indian food, Papadam is definitely a good order. And if you’re not like me and do CRAVE Indian… Then Papadam is also a great order!
Order online from Papadam and if you have more suggestions for us to try for lunch tell us in the comments!
