It’s official, GrubHub.com is alive and kicking in Los Angeles! And it couldn’t have come at a better time. As the recession drags on, fewer consumers are dining out.

According to Chicago-based research consultancy Technomic, nationally, fine dining restaurants could see their sales fall 15 percent this year, with a 2.5-percent drop in the broader restaurant industry. But cutting costs doesn’t mean diners have to sacrifice a nice meal.

There are over 1,200 delivery restaurants in Los Angeles, and GrubHub.com connects hungry patrons to all their delivery options.

“L.A. has such a diverse restaurant scene, so ordering out doesn’t have to mean just pizza and burgers,” said Matt Maloney, GrubHub.com co-founder and CEO.

GrubHub.com offers online ordering to unique L.A. restaurants like Truly Vegan on Hollywood Blvd., whose menu consists of entrees that are 100 percent vegan.

During the first month in L.A., all first-time GrubHub.com users can get $10 off their first online order if they go to: www.grubhub.com/lasneakpeek. GrubHub.com is making delivery better by connecting users to more restaurant options and helping them discover hidden neighborhood gems.
