Seamless Saves Family Dinner

Guest Post by Kathy Zucker

Eating together as a family. How many of us do it? Not often enough in my household.

The New York Times recently wrote, “As more women entered the workforce, family meals became less frequent.” Kids who eat at home are less likely to be obese. Why? Because they eat less.

It’s time to order in.

Eating together is so rare in my household that the kids thought we were having a party and got really excited when I started clearing the table of piles of school artwork and legos. They helped set the table with silverware and plates and then thought up creative centerpiece ideas. Who knew personalized legos could add just the right touch to a place setting?

Plain white plates are the perfect canvas for family style dining. With the table laid, the only thing left to do was to wait for the food to arrive. Here is what is on tap at Seamless this evening in Hoboken, NJ.

Asia Cuisine – 3 Seamless stars

My kids LOVE the scallion pancakes. If you order pad thai make sure to request “mild” since the food here tends to be spicy.

Biggie’s – 4 Seamless stars

The seafood is super fresh, especially the oysters and clams on the half shell. Fried clams, calamari, chicken tenders and burgers, a meal from Biggie’s is like taking a virtual trip to the Jersey Shore.

Bluth’s Original Frozen Banana – 5 Seamless stars

Dress the kids in banana costumes and get ready to order a frozen banana straight from California, right on time to watch the rebooted Arrested Development on Netflix.

The best part about ordering in from Seamless? If you have a busy day ahead, you can order dinner now to arrive home at the same time as you do.
