Seamless has some of the best fans in the world. They stand by us during the hangriest of times and come to us to feed them day in and day out. This is a weekly feature where we highlight one of our proudest and most awesome Seamlessers. This week, we have Lee who discovered Seamless with a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese craving.
First Name: Lee
Occupation: Multimedia Editorialist
How and When Did You Discover Seamless? In the spring of 2010, I started dating an older guy who told me we could get Bacon Eggs and Cheeses delivered to us from his iPhone 4 right to his apartment. I was like, you just won my heart. Dope. (We aren’t together anymore)
Where Do You Use Seamless? In New York City – usually at work, but mostly when I am hanging around my apartment/am too lazy to cook/get outside/speak to anybody.
Favorite Kind of Food: Tacos.
Least Favorite Kind of Food: Salads? Too healthy! And very easy to mess up.
Favorite Place to Order From on Seamless? Pinche Taqueria over on Lafayette. I really enjoy their crispy fish tacos. They use this rich and creamy mayo-based chipotle sauce all up on it, and its fried to perfection and with the fresh cabbage and the hearty warm taco bread, its just such an amazing experience taking a bite out of one. I highly suggest you try one.
What’s your record for orders placed on Seamless in a 24-hour period? 3 times. Breakfast sandwiches, then pannis, then burgers for dinner. To be fair, it was my boyfriend’s idea. But I was SO down with that.
If you had to eat one food for 30 days in a row, what would that be? MINI DEEP DISH PIZZA. Regular sauce and cheese. With crushed hot red chili pepper flakes all up on top.
Least Favorite Thing About Calling Restaurants? It’s loud, they’re not listening, and there is just always a ginormous language barrier. One time, I was ordering Pizza from this place over in Soho. They asked me for my address about 14 times. I became so frustrated, I handed the phone to my friend. I was so pissed.
Favorite Celebrity Chef? Mario Batali, because Mario Batali. Tarry Lodge is my favorite Mario Batali restaurant and it’s right by my hometown in Westport, Connecticut.
What Superpower Do You Wish You Had? I wish I could fly over traffic, and in front of slow walkers in NYC. Since moving here, I’ve become incredibly impatient with any type of hold up. It’s funny because, every New Yorker is so impatient, yet we live in the most densely populated island in the Northern Hemisphere. But there are lines everywhere: in the pharmacy, on Fifth Ave during Christmas, on Canal Street just moving along the sidewalk. We hate waiting for stuff- and that’s why Seamless is such a blessing.
Plans for Tonight? Going to have a drink at my company’s pop up shop – I work for FreshNeck, the Netflix for Ties. We have a pop up shop on Broome and West Broadway until Sunday, it’s called the Dapper Man Shop. Then, I am going to Cobble Hill Brooklyn to see some premiere about the hood. I think it’s called Licks. Yeah, based on a real story in Oakland. My friend got us tickets, she works for Raw Brooklyn.
