Seamless has some of the best fans in the world. They stand by us during the hangriest of times and come to us to feed them day in and day out. This is a weekly feature where we highlight one of our proudest and most awesome Seamlessers. This week, we have Tiffany, who wrote a really special piece about Seamless on Thought Catalog. And she really loves calzones.
First Name: Tiffany
Occupation: Project Manager and blogger at www.bestworstclubever.com
How and When Did You Discover Seamless? I was no stranger to food delivery services when I moved to New York, but I quickly switched from my old favorite when I discovered Seamless. It was love at first sight… Or maybe first bite?
Where Do You Use Seamless? I have at least 6 places in my address book. Basically I use it anytime I’m hungry and have a physical address. Also, I’m a big fan of using it in the cab or on my walk home so I don’t have to wait as long. If Seamless could come up up with a way to bring food to me while I’m walking down the street that would be great. Sometimes I really want a chicken satay while I window shop, you know?
Favorite Kind of Food: Calzone. I would do unspeakable things for a meatball and onion calzone with extra mozzarella and marinara dipping sauce.
Least Favorite Kind of Food: Anything with mushrooms or bad Pad Thai. My darkest days have been those when I’ve received a bad Pad Thai. As far as the mushrooms go; I really, really WANT to like mushrooms but it’s just not it the cards for me.
Favorite Place(s) to Order From on Seamless? Laut on 19th street. That place has the best drunken noodles I’ve ever had in my whole life. Of course, after 2 AM any place that’s open is my favorite place, as long as I don’t fall asleep before my pizza arrives… So far it’s only happened once!
What’s your record for orders placed on Seamless in a 24-hour period? Probably three or four. That being said, I live in an apartment with three other avid Seamlessers, so I wouldn’t doubt if all together we’ve placed twelve orders in one day. On Sunday evenings our trash area looks like a takeout container graveyard.
If you had to eat food for 30 days in a row, what would that be? I would say Drunken Noodles, but one time I did that for three days and I gained 8 pounds. My healthy(ish) solution to that dilemma is pho. There are so many ways to mix the sauces in and make it taste like a different food and it’s fun to say. Pho.
Least Favorite Thing About Calling Restaurants? I don’t like talking to people I’ve never met on the phone. I feel this combination of fear, guilt and hatred towards them, which is a lot to go through emotionally when all I want is an order of wings.
Favorite Celebrity Chef? I’m not very good with my celebrity knowledge. I know that Emeril yells “Bam!” and this one time, when I was running on the treadmill and watching the Food Network, I saw Paula Dean use an entire Snickers bar as a garnish. Who invented the calzone? I pick that person.
What Superpower Do You Wish You Had? I’ve thought about this way too much… Either the ability to turn anything I want into money or for my body to look like Britney Spears circa her “I’m a Slave For You” MTV VMA performance regardless of how much I eat / forgo exercise.
Plans for Tonight? Going to the gym and the going out to dinner with some friends. It’ll be fun, but my favorite Thursday nights involve my oldest (see: comfiest) pair of sweatpants, some bourbon and catching up on all my favorite shows and, of course, some late night snacks delivered to me.
