SeamlessWebber of the Week: Leslie

Every week, a different SeamlessWeb customer tells us about how he or she orders food online. This week we have Leslie, a do-everything social media star and longtime SeamlessWebber:

First Name: Leslie

Age: 32

Occupation: Freelance Publicist, Journalist, Social Media Strategist, and Event Planner (Ed: Is there anything you don’t do?!)

How and When Did You Discover SeamlessWeb? I first heard about SeamlessWeb from a friend who recommended it – this was probably back in 2004! I’ve been placing orders ever since…

Where Do You Use SW? At home (via laptop or iPhone app)

Favorite Kind of Food: I have so many! Top 8: Italian, Japanese, American, Mediterranean, Spanish/Tapas, Mexican, Indian, and Thai.

Least Favorite Kind of Food: Chinese (Ed: We like that Favorite to Least Favorite ratio…)

Favorite Place(s) to Order From on SW? All around FiDi at: Cowgirl SeaHorse, SUteiShi, Bennie’s Thai Cafe, Mangez Avec Moi, and Gigino at Wagner Park

Least Favorite Thing About Calling Restaurants? The person who picks up the phone is usually stressed, juggling several delivery calls at once, often has trouble hearing me, and I dislike providing credit card information over the phone. (Ed: We asked for one and we got several. Totally agree of course!)

Closest Previous Brush with Internet Fame? Let’s just say there are a few celebrities/notables following me on Twitter 🙂

Favorite Celebrity Chef? It’s a tie between Andrew Zimmern, Guy Fieri and Alton Brown (Ed: Quite the Trifecta!)

Favorite Cartoon Growing Up? It’s a tie: Jem & the Holograms and He-Man/She-Ra

What Superpower Do You Wish You Had? The ability to predict the future would be super helpful.

In the Past Year, What’s the Latest You’ve Stayed Up and Why? I don’t stay up late, in fact I usually try to go to bed around midnight (or earlier) but it often depends on how loud my neighbors techno & rap music is playing. That bass pounds deep into my soul.

Plans for Tonight? Cocktails and dinner (a rare non-SeamlessWeb night out) with my Shorty Awards co-workers, then I’ll head home to watch the very last episode of LOST (the final season). I made it this far without someone spoiling the ending… Will probably also check-in to see how many Twitter fans @CharlieSheen is at, cause I find things like this interesting… (Ed: Sounds like a #winning evening to us…)

E-mail us at if you’d like to be the next Webber of the Week or if you’d like to suggest a friend!
