Grubhub Unveils New Driver-Facing Technology
Grubhub for Drivers Makes Managing Orders Even Easier For Drivers
CHICAGO –August 16, 2016– Grubhub, the nation’s leading online and mobile food-ordering and delivery platform, today announced the launch of Grubhub for Drivers, the company’s new driver-facing technology. Accessible to all onboarded drivers, the new app design offers significant improvements over the previous app technology. These improvements include more precise driver location data, which will enable more accurate timing estimates for restaurants and diners.
Grubhub for Drivers makes it easier for drivers to get the information they need, when they need it, to complete food deliveries. This information drives added efficiencies for each delivery, including more context around the details of each order, within an even more user friendly design.
“We are always striving to improve the tools and technology that help Grubhub Delivery drivers succeed,” said Sudev Balakrishnan, SVP of Product for Grubhub. “We’re thrilled to make the lives of our drivers easier by improving their access to information and driving maximum efficiency for each delivery, thereby improving the overall experience for drivers, restaurants and diners.”
A snapshot of Grubhub for Driver’s new features include:
- More context for drivers to make their deliveries even more efficient
- Ease of usability for drivers, moving them efficiently through tasks that update diners and restaurant owners on arrival and delivery ETA
- A complete app redesign that streamlines the process of getting information to drivers at the specific times they need it
“I love delivering some of the best food in Chicago to local diners,” said Tim Schreier, delivery driver with Grubhub since 2014. “I’m looking forward to being even more efficient with each delivery, thanks to the new app’s easy-to-use interface and the additional context I’ll get about every order.”
Grubhub For Drivers is being used by thousands of drivers and will be available to every new onboarded driver.
