6 Tips To Nail Your Next Picnic

Sure, some people may say it is easy to go on picnics or head to the park to lay a blanket out with the perfect spread of wine and cheese. But in reality, there is a lot to think about. Good thing we’re here to make it easier for you. Read on for the most important details you need to know in order to *nail* your summer picnic.

Check your local park regulations before going.

Be sure to Google your local park laws to make sure you are allowed to spread out and enjoy some food on the grass. Especially check about liquor regulations. If you plan to sip vino, you’re going to want to make sure it is legal!

Use Grubhub’s Pickup option to order ahead and pick your food up on the way.

The best part about ordering food for your picnic is that you don’t have to carry the food all the way from your house to the park. You just pick it up on the way. It’ll be packaged to perfection, and you can even ask for extra bags to use for trash like napkins and wrappers.

A thick blanket is necessary.

Don’t make the mistake of packing a sheet. If there is even the slightest bit of moisture in the grass or dirt, it will soak through. We suggest packing a thick wool blanket, or a blanket with a plastic lining. These will help ensure you stay dry and your food stays protected.

Bring silverware, plates, and glasses.

Whether you ask for them with your pickup order, or you bring your own, a surface to eat on is crucial! Here are a few other al fresco dining tips to keep in mind when it comes to place settings.

Don’t forget a bottle opener!

If you are bringing wine, beer or some seltzer that requires a bottle opener, make sure to pack one so you aren’t stuck with a full bottle and no way to open it.

Keep paper, wrapping, and boxes for clean up.

Don’t throw away your packaging too early. If you have leftovers, be sure to save the wrappers and paper so you can pack things up and take them home if they don’t get finished.

Make your picnic easier with delivery.
